Getting There…(reflection on progress so far)

So far, my research on this subject has changed my mind and really surprised me.  I’ve learned that there are actually good things about GW, in that the warming of the air and oceans can prevent devastating hurricanes like Katrina from occurring in the future.  On the other hand, it is also causing floods due to the increased amount of rain and melting major areas of ice such as Greenland, the Ant-arctics, and the Ice Caps.  Based on much of what I’ve learned, the focuz of my segment should still be the effect of GW on our generation, but more specifically, we should concentrate on….to be continued…

 With Climate Change Comes Floods

as the earth warms up, as it has been, it causes more rain and in return more floods which are wiping out parts of countries all over the world.

Is the Planet’s Carbon Sink Getting Too Full?

the job of the ocean has always been to cool the earth by absorbing CO2.  Lately, it has been working especially hard to keep up with all of the CO2 that we release into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels and such which is causing it to warm.  As it warms up, many of the arctic areas are melting including Greenland, the Ice Caps, and the Antarctic Ice Sheet.

Global Warming can help America by warming the oceans and stopping the winds that cause hurricanes

My gut reaction to our final topic, global warming, is that i honestly do not care. It bores me for the most part, but i was interested to learn that it is helping the US in that it is warming the oceans and helping prevent major hurricanes from occuring.  There might be technical problems in our documentary because many people don’t know how to use cameras and such.  Once we get past that, though, i think the main problems we will have will be finding questions and people to interview who actually know what they’re talking about.
