So far, my research on this subject has changed my mind and really surprised me.  I’ve learned that there are actually good things about GW, in that the warming of the air and oceans can prevent devastating hurricanes like Katrina from occurring in the future.  On the other hand, it is also causing floods due to the increased amount of rain and melting major areas of ice such as Greenland, the Ant-arctics, and the Ice Caps.  Based on much of what I’ve learned, the focuz of my segment should still be the effect of GW on our generation, but more specifically, we should concentrate on….to be continued…

So some aspects of climate change that help some parts of the world will hurt other parts of the world.

How does the interconnectedness of the human world affect these changes? For example, if the changes benefit Missouri, why should we care about what happens in Nevada? Or if the changes benefit the US, why should we worry about what happens in Zimbabwe?

Economic effects? Social effects? Political effects?
