Tonight, Jenny and I traversed all the way down to Washington University (oh so far away! :P ) to interview our group’s second expert, Kelley Greenman.  Ever since I began working on getting this interview in place, I thought it would for sure be interesting and educating, but I never imagined it would be this much fun!

Kelley was one of the sweetest girls I have ever met, and so incredibly personable.  She was very willing to share any needed information and do whatever was necessary for us to have the best interview possible and did her best to teach us things that aren’t widely known.  For example, did you know that eating meat, poultry, fish, and eggs contirbutes to Global Warming??  Crazy, huh?

While being professional, well educated in the subject, and mature, Kelley was also very much a kid.  She was extremely easy to get along with and related to Jenny and I very well.  This was certainly an interview I won’t soon forget. Thank you Kelley for this wonderful opportunity, and thanks to our drivers, Mrs. Pomerantz and Mrs. Rosen!

Okay, you’ve hooked my interest. How in the world does eating meat, poultry, fish, and eggs exacerbate global warming?

Well, it’s really all in the production and transportation of the food. We burn fossil fuels in order to get it to consumers ready to eat, and that is our wonderful contribution to Global Warming. It’s odd, because it’s something you would never even think of. Quite an interesting way we’re harming our planet, isn’t it?
