Street Interviews

On Friday, we did our street interviews down on Fee Fee, and it was quite an interesting experience.  It took our group a while to find someone to interview, but once we did, our interviews turned out quite well.  The first person was not very knowledgable or insightful, but the other three had some great things to say and one of them really challenged us.  I’m happy with the results!

What kinds of things did the people say? How did you feel while you were approaching people? How did your group work together?

Some people had very traditional answers. “I think about Global Warming a lot.” “I try not to drive my car as much.” Things like that. But, our first question is directly about the effects of Global Warming, and the last man we interviewed, right off the bat, came back with “So, I guess you’re asuming that I actually BELIEVE in Global Warming?” It was a challenging interview, because it was going a bit against what we knew and what information we had, but it turned out well. I’m glad we snagged that one.
It was a bit awkward approaching random strangers on the street, but our group worked together finding and flagging down people to interview, so it all worked out.
